Whistler, B.C.

When people research places to go on vacation, most will look at locations where there is hot weather and stunning beach views. I’m here to tell you that instead of going somewhere hot for your winter vacation, you should go somewhere with a better view than a beach.

Whistler is just two hours outside of Victoria, British Columbia. There are options to stay in Whistler Village just steps from the bottom of the mountain, which in my opinion is the best spot. Whether you’re a Skiier, Snowboarder or just an outdoorsman, the Whistler Mountains have so many options for things to do. It is just as popular to visit in the winter to catch some runs or in the summer to go Zip lining through the vast mountains. For this posting, I will just share the amazing experiences that Whistler offers during the winter season.

The gorgeous mountain views and the clean crisp air are what draw so many Travellers to visit from all over the world. For anyone who has ever been, they will agree that at the peak, the view is epic.

For the winter sports lover, the two mountains that Skiiers and Snowboarders can go on are Whistler Blackcomb and Whistler Mountain. Multiple gondolas and ski lifts are available to go up and start at different runs. There is also Peak to Peak gondola, which is 4.4km, 11 minute ride that connects each mountain. Both mountains offer many fun and breathtaking runs for any level of skier or snowboarder, from green to double black diamond.

Skiing fresh powder in the Whistler alpine Whistler also offers for intermediate and expert skiiers and snowboarders the chance to take a helicopter to a peak and run down untracked snow and endless terrain, plus a killer view.

Don’t like snowboarding or skiing? Well, Whistler also offers gorgeous views through the mountains snowshoeing, or sunset snowmobiling. You can also go down fun runs with the family tubing.

Whistler is indescribable and I recommended it to anyone who is looking for a different twist on a vacation.

Happy Adventuring!
